Hello!!
Did you come to this page to know more about me? Well you came to the right page! here you can find out more about me,why I wanted to become an author, and how I achieved it.
WHO AM I? (MORE LIKE, MORE ABOUT ME!)
Well, my name is Ivy Moonlit (pronounced moonlight) I'm an absolute Potterhead, and am a Slytherin. I like to dabble in a little bit of everything, but the things I enjoy the most are baking, make abstract (rarely realistic) art, dancing and of course, writing. My favourite colours are red, gold, green(dark), and black. I HATE pink.
WHY DID I CHOSE TO BECOME A WRITER?
I became a writer because I found it was the easiest way to relax, and think. I was able to take bits of my life and other's life's and put them into other people, write an alternate universe. When I write, I get to feel what it might be like to travel the world(END) or become the president. I can be the ruler of the world in my book.
As for even further back, keep reading...
When I was younger, you would never see me without my nose in a book. I was always trying new types of books, mystery, romance, fantasy, comics, and humor. If I liked the book, I would be re-reading it all the time(example: Harry Potter). By grade 2 I had read any book that had ever been recommended to me, and that was in my age group. We had been learning how to write stories at the time. This was the first time I had ever written a story. Once my teacher read my story, she found it amazing, so did I, Who knew a girl with so much imagination that could never be put into sentences could write this?
Me I guess.
I continued writing (only little bits though), through out grade 3. By grade 4, my teacher had found out about my writing. He helped me change my style more. At this time my Mum didn't really know that I was writing. I had still been only reading at home.
In grade 5 my Mum came to talk with my teacher, I didn't talk about school much, and I was reading more at this point. My reading had become race car speed. My teacher did not know about my writing this year, she assumed I was finishing up some home work when I wrote. She told my Mum not to worry, that maybe one day I'd take in all the different styles of writing and end up making my own. That's exactly what I did.
Over the summer between grade's 5 and 6, I stopped reading as much, but you would never see me without a notebook and pen. I had to go to summer camp that year, which most of the time was sports, I HATE sports, with the exception of floor hockey, dancing, skating, and basketball. Instead of playing, I would sit under a big tree and write. That's the summer my Mum found out.
In grade 6, nothing much changed. I wrote and wrote all the time. I found a website called Movella's and decided this was where I would share my writing for the first time. To me it was one of my biggest steps in my writing career.
In grade 7, my teacher found out and read all my stories on Movellas(an online sorta publishing website). He gave me some good feed back. Soon, he showed me a real publishing website where I could get my book in my hands.
